Puppet Mate Books believes in the wisdom of children.  

A child’s brain develops most rapidly in the first three years of life.  

Puppet Mate Books are geared toward these critical early years—particularly the first 12 months of life when a child does not fully recognize their individuality.  

With themes of oneness, mindfulness and impermanence, our books inspire parents to share precious time with their children and, in the process, learn to see the world through their eyes.  

Dedicated to Jeanne Mate

What is the opposite of cynical, pessimistic, and cruel.  In a word—Jeanne Mate.  When Jeanne passed on May 6, 2024 at the age of 93 her kindness, optimism and belief in the next generation shined through as strong as ever.  She was young at heart, playful and loved to laugh. Jeanne was a teacher.  She devoted her life to early childhood education.  She was a master puppeteer and storyteller who used the transformational power of stories to connect with children. EdwardMate founded Puppet Mate Books to honor Jeanne's life.  All profits from Puppet Mate Books are donated to causes that align with Jeanne's commitment to early childhood education.
